A small TV segment on a particularly British type of railfan, the "basher", who prefers riding (bashing) trains to photographing or spotting them. There are several different types of "basher" as described in the video: -
1. Mileage basher who travels behind one particular type of loco and accumulates mileage travelled behind these locos.
2. Track basher, travels on as many different lines as possible, some even try to do every cross-over, loop or siding etc.
3. Engine basher, travels on passenger trains pulled by as many different individual loco's as possible, with freight-only types being the most sought after.
