Metra Gallery car seen in Virginia today

As I was heading home on the Metro to catch VRE at Franconia/Springfield today, due to signal suspension, I saw an old gallery car that had METRA, not VRE painted on it. It was connected to a VRE locomotive which was connected to six Kawasaki cars. This train set was parked at the Alexandria station.

Could it be of the old gallery cars going back to Chicago?
