Pentagon - Lighted Displays?

Since moving out of VA, it's not often that I get down there on the Metro. But on my way back into town from a trip to the mall last weekend, I noticed some brightly lit panels on the walls of the upper level platform at Pentagon.

Does anyone know what these are? I'm assuming part of the expanded advertising program mentioned not long ago? They looked like they might be video panels.

It may be either expanded advertising, or more likely the initial installations of The Metro Channel system which will provide advertisements, news, and next train arrivals. Their press release is below:
