I'm not sure if it is still there, but I remember seeing a conveyor belt-style loader at the Lockport Yard just off Park Ave. Does anyone know what it was (is) used for?

People fill hopper cars there. I think that it was corn this fall.

That conveyor is not operational, but it is for loading stone ballast, and has not been used in some years. The other loading has been by local farmers loading shelled corn by 8" or 10" auger.
