Railpower stock bounced up a week or two back, but now it is right back in the mid 20's (cents, that is). Their financial results should be out around November 2, that should be very interesting.

I see the stock has been sliding back downhill about a cent a day in advance of the third quarter financials. I wonder if there is some anxiety among the stockholders right now.

Now almost six weeks after the close of the third quarter and a check of the website this morning showed that Railpower still has not posted their financial results. Their stock price has been slowly declining.

It's something; there was a time when I suggested to a friend that this stock was the way to go...and it did have a nice period of growth. Not anymore.

I have seen all of the Canadian money. Is this company Canadian enough for a government bailout?

They must have some friends somewhere who like them and are helping to keep them going, to have large losses and a minus $5 million working capital and still be able to attract a $35 million investment from a teachers pension plan. Maybe somebody with a lot of experience in finance can put the report into "American" english for us?

Today the stock was all the way back down to 26 cents (cdn) a share.

The shareholders overwhelmingly approved the $35M that the Ontario Teachers Retirement Fund is investing.

Three pictures are posted about halfway down the page here: http://www.canadianrailwayobservations. ... /index.htm

Todays stock price is $0.45, by the way.

Both Railpower and Union Pacific are highlighting their commitments to lower emissions locomotives. A CNN video is posted on both sites showing Railpower genset locomotives operating in UP yards. The video shows the six axle gensets in operation.

Railpower is also proud to have sold 3 locomotives to Virginia Port Authority recently. Their stock price is currently $ 0.47.
