dont park right at short clove rd. go down the hill a bit toward the condos then walk up. it's probably the worst x-ing on the whole riverline for accidents, you'll probably piss off one of the crews if your parked there and they dont expect it when they come around the curve, that wont go far for positive raillbuff/ railroad relations. the local p.d is by there around rush hour to keep people from stopping on the level spot on the crossing. haverstraw police are friendly. one told me the other day there that theres a project in the works to build an overpass through the dip in 9w there and to short clove, eliminating the crossing alltogether. $$$$=time.
