Hey,
A while ago on a long lost forum someone posted a picture of a NYC locomotive running backwards witha small pilot on the tender and a clear vision coal bunker. Does anyone know the class of locomotive or have a picture similar of the rear of the tender? Thanks, Alex.

Possibly, too, the K-11 Pacifics that switched LaSalle St. Station in Chicago were so equipped, since they had to operate backwards in their movements from the coach yard. I've never seen a rear-view photo so I can't say for sure, but in any event, they did have clear-vision tenders.

Numerous K-11s photos from Chicago and Elkhart, IN had the clear-vision tenders, but none show a rear view of the tender. Some had passenger pilots and some footboard pilots.

Some other locomotives that did have tender pilots are a couple of Canada Southern ten-wheelers.

I like that photo with the locomotive having two tenders. After all, one tender was much more common.
