Here are some photos from my first trip to Steamtown on August 25th.

Delaware Lackawanna power laying over by Bridge 60 Tower was DL 2035 & DL 2461.

After completing its work for the day, Nickel Plate GP9 514 goes for a spin on the turntable as a respectable crowd gathers to watch on the ground level. The upper walkways, both inside and outside were also respectably crowded.

I was happy I made the long drive from the Jersey Shore to Moscow and Scranton to check out Steamtown for the first time. Here are some additional photos. While the roundhouse area was not crowded as I was walking around, the early afternoon Scranton Limited faired rather well. The first coach filled up rather quickly and then they opened the second one up, which became half full. Kind made me wonder where everyone was.... Anyway, on to the photos.

Thank you for the compliment. I had a great time that day and between the Scranton Limited and the steam train, there was a lot to photograph that day. Here's my final batch of photos.

Back on ground level now as CN 2-8-2 3254 is heading to the roundhouse:

Passing Union Pacific “Big Boy” 4012. Due to the lighting where I was standing, using a black & white photo was in order. Plus, it gives the photo an old-time feel.

Canadian National 2-8-2 3254 on the turntable as a good-sized crowd looks on. Like myself and my son, there were a good number of people on the upper walkways, both inside and outside photographing and watching the engine on the turntable.

And that concluded a very enjoyable day at Moscow and Steamtown!
