The KD Line

This was the C&NW's route from Rockford, IL to Kenosha, WI. I have a book of the same name that tells of its history. My father attempted to purchase the segment from Poplar Grove, IL to S. Beloit, but that fell through circa 1990. BTW, does anyone know if the author of the book, P.L. Behrens, is still alive?

Should be...haven't seen anything from the CNWHS saying otherwise...He really isn't that old, maybe 50-ish. You could probably contact him through them if you wanted.
