RDG W&N Turnpike Bridge Being Removed

The PA turnpike overpass over the former W&N just east of the Morgantown exit is being removed as I type. It was in-filled last year.

The old Reading (nee North Penn RR) main north of Fairhill Jct. has been
filled in to replace the highway bridges on the adjacent streets near where
the NEC passes.

I was just out that way last week and noticed the same. Sad to see one of the last remnants of the line going away. I traced the ROW between Rt 30 and Birdsboro a few times in the mid 90's. Originally, many of the crossing relay cases and other relics were still in place but eventually they all disappeared. At least a small piece of the line still exists (and was actually re-installed) through Birdsboro to serve the H&K quarry.
