This is the second time I've heard this I thought the ABBA set was bound for KCS.

No, because they have the E8's, why go for an F7, when you have those?

No, you are correct. KCS purchased the entire trainset from Rail Cruise America. KCS already has an A-B-A set of F-units of CN extraction. NS bought the A-B-B-A set from KCS.

As best as I can tell UP and CN-IC are the only class one railroads with E-units for their special trains. Of course, should KCS and/or NS decide to obtain E-units for thier specials it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

The 4022 was renumbered to 1000 for it's brief ownership by NS before it was sold to Juniata Terminal.
