Hey all
Back here, I volunteer as a conductor for a tourist railroad, that doesn't follow any former railroad company or prototype. Our railroad adopts a uniform/presentation policy for 'official' looking uniforms that don't conform to those of previous local railroad operators as such.
Having visited places like Steamtown in Scranton and Strasburg Rail Road, I have since become inspired by some of the uniforms I saw previously adorned on the PRR. I purchased a PRR-style conductors cap when I visited the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania (Strasburg) and also another similar style cap at Steamtown, and wish to create some kind of adaptaion from the PRR uniform for the rest of it. I also purchased quite a few "PRR" gold buttons that were being sold at the Red Caboose Motel.
I was looking to see if anyone out there has, or knows, of any photographs or diagrams of former PRR Conductor (Or similar roles, like Station Staff) uniforms, that I could use as references? I'm also seeing if PRR uniform shirts had epaulettes and if there was any special design/pattern on them.
Thanks!
