I just got a copy of an article in the 6/62 Railroad Model Craftmsan on General American Transportation's G-85 flatcar. In the photos they are demonstrating the loading of unmarked Flexi-Vans on the car, they had equipment mounted on it similar to the Mark III cars.

I know REA Express used a side mount container system on these cars but I never heard of them equipped for Flexi-Vans. Does anyone know if they ever actually put any of these in service (ATSF, SP or Trailer Train-GTTX perhaps)? Or do the photos illustrate a failed attempt by GATC to crack the Flexi-Van market. I'm guessing the latter, but figured I throw it out there anyway.
