Looking for some background dating info on the PRR's RS-27s of 1962-63. Were these deliverd with the railphone antennae on the roof or was this system gone by then? If delivered, when were the antennae removed?

Also, were these units delivered in the small keystone scheme (dark green; 2 keystones per side, no "PENNSYLVANIA")? If not, when was this scheme first applied?

Thanks.

They were delivered WITH the trainphone antennas, which were removed gradually. George Elwood's "Fallen Flags" railphoto site has a picture of the 2414 WITH antennas inthe late 1960s, but other photos of PRR RS-27 there -- some from two or three years earlier -- do not show the antennas. As for "color" scheme... most of the photos are in black and white, but they may help.

Thanks Allen -- found that site. Very helpful.

Do you know about which year the Pennsy started with the last scheme of small keystones fore and aft and no "PENNSYLVANIA" on the sides?

I've never..ever seen a photo of an RS-27 with "Pennsylvania" on the sides. I'm 99.9% sure they were all delivered with Keystones only
