I know that the Conn. DOT had some former New Haven FL-9 locomotives. Are they still in service or have they been retired?

They are in service, but have all gone to Croton for maintainance. Check the sticky in the Metro-North forum.

Its awesome that the FL9s are still in service. I thought they were all retired last year. Didin't they even have a farewell to the FL9 excursion last year? I'm definitely not complaining. They are a treat to see in service in 2006!

next month 4 units are needed for the two railwashers, waterworld 1 and waterworld 2, to get rid of leaf residue and prevent slip/slide.
