Hello All:
I recently met a guy that grew up in Shoshone and worked at the Union Pacific roundhouse there the summer after his high school graduation around 1956. He seems to remember both steam and diesel engines at the roundhouse, though most were diesel. Does anyone know how many steam engines the Union Pacific still had in operation that might have gone through the Shoshone roundhouse around 1956?
Thanks.
