Pan Am colors

The 5 SD-40's and 1 U30-C that Guilford purchased in 1985 or '86 are former Detroit Edison units. They ran for a few years in DE gray and blue before repainting into full Guilford colors.

The above is correct, we're talking about 15 years before Pan Am came into the fold!

From what I have seen, Guilford had quite a few odd color schemes when they started out, all thanks to used power!! :wink:
