The El Dorado County Fair (http://www.eldoradocountyfair.org/) started yesterday. The El Dorado Western Railway will have the engine house open all four days. If you're in the Sancrmento area, please make the 45-mile trip up into the Placerville gold country and stop by. We'd love to show you around. Saturday, June 17 is a regular work day for the crew.
The engine house is located in the museum yard. You'll find the museum immediately to the north of the fairground main gate at 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville, California. Free parking and shuttle service are available from El Dorado Transit (http://www.eldoradotransit.com/).
"A Fair to Remember" is the theme for the 2006 El Dorado County Fair, at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, June 16-18, 2006.
