Near the old charleston chew factory near everrett, there is part of the old saugus branch. One time I went over and could have sworn i saw cars moving on it. Am i going crazy?

actually wait... those arent the saugus tracks. These tracks go east and go right along the coast. What ere these and are they still active?

Do you mean the ones opposite the Charlestown Chew building, between Rte.16 & Rte.99?

I believe the MBTA stores ballast and ballast hoppers on that stub.

The area behind Charlestown Chew is Everett Jct. Across the mainline is
the west end connection to the old Saugus Branch. The MBTA loads ballast hoppers here on the short runaround.

On the east side or "coast" side of the mainline is the lead to New England Produce and the Chelsea/Everett waterfront used primarily by CSX and
a little by Guilford.
