On the weekend of March 25-26 NKP 765 returned to mainline action. It ran round trips each day, Ft. Wayne-Van Wert, OH. These were "shakedown cruises" and not revenue runs. The consist was 765, FWRHS's tool car and a CFW&E diesel to provide simulated loads using the dynamic brakes. Saturday's run was kept to 25MPH to break everything in, on Sunday it was a steady 40MPH for the whole trip. Unfortunately there's no word yet on any more excursions.
