The unit is part of the consist and I dont know if its the coal train (assuming its not). Is it on lease or something?

Thanks,
Charlie

Yes, it is on lease, along with another P&W unit. The unit in that pic is 3001 while 3002 is up in Burlington being inspected (courtesy P&W Yahoo Groups list). I went to Ludlow on Friday after riding Okemo and was hoping to catch the P&W unit but guess it showed up a few hours before me. Still got some cool shots of the station, Rutland RR lettering on the bridge, etc, also on the NERAIL photos.

The PW 3001 and PW 3002 are on today's GMRC 263/264 turn, bracketing 308 and 307...
probably out of RD about 0845 to the Falls, about 28 cars today
