I "viewed" these pics on Railroad Picture Archives taken by
Stephen Disalvo of a CSX derailment in Ridgefield,NJ.
The pics are dated 3/22/2006 but I'm not sure it happened
yesterday.Did anyone hear anything about it?

They were some great shots. Even had shots of the work crew repairing
the rail and rerailing the cars.

sorry bout that

I saw Steve posted the photo essay on another site. the northern branch is a dead end branch line that has seen better days. Steve posted pics of the line further north in Closter that looked, say, less than acceptable.

No problem. I really need to stop writing these posts so late at night. I've caught the local doing switching moves on this branch when I was working in Elmwood a few months ago. I just checked some of Steve's other photos of the branch. I see what you mean. I guess there is not enough business on the branch to justify replacing the track.
