Ms./Mrs. Pardonnet's assertion that the train wasn't in danger of derailing, even if accurate, means nothing to the passengers on last week's train, especially in light of recent events, and I don't fault them for complaining at all. Thankfully, no derailments and no injuries, meaning that this matter can be handled by Metra internally with no outside investigation necessary. Still, it's hard to believe that the engineer failed to comply with the speed restrictions in the area, despite the reminders...
