That came out great! I'm hopeful Athearn does a run. I'd really like a Beach Ball unit.

Watching the MTA Committee meeting today, the next two wraps are New York Central and Penn Central, and a final wrap honoring metro north employees. Plenty for the buffs, foamers, modelers, and photogs to enjoy.

Seeing a PC unit on a passenger train north of Dover Plains will be quite the “check and mate” moment after over 51 years

(If only the tracks went to Mount Riga…)

We're gonna be in year 41 soon...with 3 planned wraps to go. Where are these gems?

That's fun.

I did heritage wraps of my website ( https://trainsim.com ) including a Conrail and two Pennsy-esque themes, and the responses have been 'do more!'

Hideous.

Don’t get me wrong; I love the Central and the lightning stripe scheme. But it just does not work on this locomotive. The way the stripe angles down is just…awful.

I was hoping for an EL heritage scheme. Now, not so much. The EL scheme just won’t work on the Genesis body.

I think it looks great, probably my favorite of the series so far

It'd be cool if they could arrange photo shoots with the DRM to have their FL9s side by side with the new heritage units

They could always run it up to the Naugy yard and put it next to 2019!

Isn’t there an F10 in NYC paint?

Does the Naugy have one of the Lightning Stripe FL9s? I know they have a Beach Ball F10.

I haven't been out to see my aunt in Wolcott in awhile so my memory's a little fuzzy as to what's sitting along Waterbury Road.

They have another FL9, 2033, but no F10’s on the roster.

That must be the unit I'm thinking of. I don't know why I thought they ended up with one of the F10s. I just did some homework and Danbury has the 413 in their collection.

The two lightning stripe FL9s were 2012 and 2013. The DRM has 2013, 2012 got shipped to LTEX in Ohio.

Sounds like we need two museum exhibits for the heritage P32s lol.

Hey, there's one! It looks good in the NYC livery, very cool. I'm happy to see it but surprised this was up next. I thought a PC was in the works and would have been next.

Are they still doing two more? As shortlived as it was, it would be an awesome heritage look if they do the all-black and PC logo.

Not bad on the NYC scheme, although (as Erie-Lackawanna pointed out) the angled part of the stripes definitely looks wrong. Given the shape of the carbody, maybe a stripe treatment closer to what was used on the T-motors (where the end of the multi-stripe section curved to a point similar to the Pennsy's 5-stripe scheme did on GG1's might have been better? Either that, or have the stripe go higher on the nose and come alongside the headlight casing.
