Just curious, is anyone else hearing rumors that Canadian Pacific wants to establish service into the NY metro area, Morrisville PA, and Philadelphia via a trackage rights agreement with CSX? Been hearing about this for a couple weeks on and off.

Curiously, CP has such rights already but doesn’t currently use them AFAIK. The most recent map (dated 2020) shows rights into Newark via the CSX River Sub, and rights into Philly via the NEC. Heard they might get rights on the Trenton Sub for Morrisville.

Also of interest is the fact this map shows some of the old trackage rights on NS via an old Delaware and Hudson agreement. Aren’t such rights gone now?
