Dogs Named after MBTA Stations

(Question to ponder) Were the dogs specifically named after the stations or just coincidentally named after the stations?

My brother in law's bearded collie is named Quincy (no Adams), no relation to any T station or Honolulu (where they live) bus/new rail stop. He's a service dog, who identifies certain kinds of diabetes flare ups.

I know more than one "Fenway" pup.
