Q271-28 clear of Little Ferry yard at 5:35PM, with CSXT 385, CSXT 8015, and 70 plus auto racks. Those with memories will note the lead unit also was worn by the Morris County Central's locomotive in the 1960's and 70's, thus making the CSX unit the second 385 to traverse the NYS&W.

Q404-28 is on property and having power added to it. Train arrived at Little Ferry with UP 9763, CSXT 8350, and HLCX 6390. NYSW units 3016 and 3010 are being added to it at this time, and the NYS&W westbound freight will be added prior to departure. no time on this train's leaving at this time.

Other power at the servicing facility this afternoon:

SIXX 41, NYSW 3618, NYSW 3012, NYSW 3014, NYSW 3634, SIXX 47, and SIXX 78. Lots of power and a fair amount of activity.

Thanks for the info.

Based on my occasional swings near Little Ferry, it looks like more guys are working. There are often 2-3 maintainers working on the engines, fueling, etc. More cars in the employee "lot" too, prob from crews on the road.

That's a good sign for NYSW
