The Bangor Daily News has an article today saying that CP has announced that Brownville will be visted by the Holiday Train this year. There will be a concert and other activities inconjunction with the train. No date was announced for the visit at this time. The atricle says the train with be bisiting Quebec, southern Ontario and the US. Nothing about going to St. John.

They don't own any track nor run trains east of BVJ, not sure why they would run to Saint John....

Not having any knowledge of railroad legalize. Could EMR and NBSR give permission to CP to run the Holiday train to SJ? It would be a good PR stunt if they could with an assist from their crews?

It sure would. Ever seen the videos? This thing is spectacular. And if the railway offered help to raise funds to Saint John / western NB food pantries, that would be a publicity no-brainer. Great idea.
