Back in the Late 8Os and 1990s CNW station was full of floor traders at Rush Hour now in 2022 it’s seems like the Financial District is a Ghost town…..I always loved talking trades and getting stock tips from my fellow riders now they are dead and gone :(

COMEX is a part of the CME Group, along with CBOT and NYMEX. Their GLOBEX platform operating at the Aurora data center is one of the busiest trading platforms in the world.
CBOE still has pretty high options volume in the pits though.

Many of the firms trading on the electronic platforms have large Chicago offices. However, many fewer of the employees live in the suburbs these days.
