0215-0410/08-01-2022 started off with 0216 PW Road hash, and 0223 presented flashing lights and dropping gates for the X7.8 XNG, CSXT 470, 476, and 471 tripping the talker mere seconds later. 70+ cars -- a mix of unplacarded, LPG, and corrosive tanks, 1 each tented sheetrock, wrapped, and MT centerbeams, a CSXT box and a few CSXT gons, and a plurality of mixed Brand X high-side C&D gons -- later and at 0228, the gates went up and the talker gave a no defects. To save suspense, naught further would be heard to, from, or about 426 or 427 or AY-3, for that matter.
At 0231, Boston East served up some hash, and 4 later, D-3 answered FI-2, rogered whatever they next said, and OKd them on signal indication. Next, D-3 asked about the trash-car total, rogered, and then asked more that got eaten by Mount Wachusett. 13, later, there would be more -- but broken and brief -- D-3/FI-2 activity.
At 0253, the 333 WLs were dark and -- in the usual sequence and at the usual intervals-- the 334 ELs at Stop and the 1 WB stagger and 335s dark.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, The Extension and 1 had 1 carrier E with either rail or structural steel., covered hoppers, an Interfor-wrapped centerbeam, a coil car, and whatever else up to the E end of the Pratt yard. 4 had a mix of general from just W of the E FP, and 2 mighta had stuff, also. 0309 was when D-3 again answered and rogered FI-2. Yes, the ties were still summering between the House and MART fence.
The EB trip was quiet, the 333 WLs dark at 0323, the EB staggers for 330 at Approach, and all else from the 330.8 WBs up to and including the FG WLs dark.
At 0336, the W end of East Side was MT, as was the FI-1/3 parking spot, the 0338 D-3/FI-2 Yard-Channel garblepalooza that allowed "WL" into clarity by way of explanation. The EB staggers for Derby were dark at 0342, 2 covered hoppers still on the W end of the RVJ stub.
Naught else would come outta the speaker for the balance of the trip except for NECR hash at 0353 and CSXT hash at 0409.

0220-0435/08-03-2022 was noteworthy, as will be seen. Things started off at 0225 when D-3 advised AY-3 he'd need them to be in the clear at the Willows cuz there was an engine that would be doing a runaround. There was more, but garbled. 2 later, D-3 advised the MBTA Extra they'd be waiting cuz he had a coupla Foremen with Form Ds and that the office knew about it, next asking for the crew and time on duty, the last items rogered without repetition.
At 0233, D-3 answered AY-3, acknowledging with thanks that the #1 Main Line switch was lined and locked normal. 4 later, the P&W St. Albans Dispatcher served some hash.
At 0240, M426 called out to D-3, repeating 1 later. When D-3 answered, they advised that they were on board and into DCS territory. D-3 acknowledged that CSXT 464 was into DCS. I was now outta range of the M426, but they evidently said something, so D0-3 answered them again, changed the power # to 484, and advised that "our" crew was on the way, asking when they were good to, repeating 0625, and hinting that X6.0 would be the recrew point. There will be more about 426 and also a sequel 426.
Things would go into quiet mode, and at 0258, the 333 WLs were at Stop. dark NSs 6953, 4402, and 4351 having done that on the #1. There were trashes just W and racks over by the all-Stops 334s, so guessing a 16R. The 335 ELs and WLs were also at Stops, and the marker was close to the State Road.Rte. 2A UGB.
D-3 had called out to TC T822 at 0304, Mount Wachusett complicating any further possible receptions. A bit further WB, the was 0314 CSXT garble, followed in 1 by another and compromised D-3 reach-out to TC T822.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark. From the Extension W on 1, there were LPGs, 1 MT NS centerbeam, and more LPGs to mebbe the E end of the Pratt yard, There looked like a few covered hoppers on the 2, and the ties hadn't gone anywhere.
At 0321, breaking D-3 answered TC T822, cancelling Form D 6301 at 0322. 2 later, a now-clear -- a 100' change of position makes more than a little difference -- asked the MBTA Extra if they'd be going to the passenger facility or the layover facility, the unrepeated response getting rogered.
EB at 0333, TC T1030 asked D-3 something about FG, Mount Wachusett blocking any response.
Another diversion was made to 335, where the 2 EL showed a Restricting at 0336. In a couple, the 334 2 EL was at Approach, and at 0340, the 333 WLs were at Stop, foliage blocking any view of the 333 ELs, but the route seemed in for the layover.
At 0344, there was a faint, but clear, "Slow Approach," and further E, the EB staggers for 330 showed an Approach for 1 and Stop for 2.
The 330.8 WBs showed Clears, and just a bit E, there was WB power noise, guessing the Extra. The 330 ELs and WLs were at Stop, but would go dark at 0353. At 0351, TC T1030 called out to a ZombieZoned D-3 and asked about track lights, next reading back the 0352 cancellation of Form D G302.
The GL WLs had been dark, as would be the FG WLs, and at 0358, the FI-1/2 parking spot and W end of East Side were MT. At 0402, there was some Road-side hash, and 0404, the RVJ yard was active, so there was no viw of the EB staggers for Derby, but 2 covered hoppers were still on the W end of the stub.
There was 0408 D-3 garble that allowed "241" and "312 W to the #2" to the 6952 into clarity. Mebbe 11R and mebbe the runaround mentioned earlier to AY-3.
There was 0413 NECR hash, but at 0419, things got unusual: D-3 answered M426, and then said, "Let me get a hold of the other M426." D-3 next asked CSXT 484 what they wanted to call clear of? MP X17, correct? Next came time-effective 0423 Form D G304 to CSXT 464 for Burncoat to MP X17.
The radio was silent for the balance of the trip, and although there were subsequent XNG noises at 0505, 0546, and 0550, the intervals and varied intensities were puzzling, but not as puzzling as 1 426 on the wheels of another 426.
427? Heard naught.
 #1603948  by jaymac

0220-0410/08-05-2022 had as its prequel XNG noise on the far side of the reservoirs, probably not 426, as will be seen.
At 0221, D-3 answered FI-2, rogered whatever they said, advising that he couldn't get the E crossover at AY to normal, so they'd have to take it off power and get a 241.
My XNG of the X7.8 XNG presented a CSX Deere 120C hyrail excavator sitting in the SW quadrant. whatever tool might be on the arm buried in the weeds.
15 went by and D-3 answered the somebody calling, and after whatever they said, he next asked FI-2 if they'd taken the switch off power yet, rogered the response, and told them to hold on until he got AY-3 out of the yard. AY-3 was next OKd on signal indication. 0244 was when D-3 told FI-2 that things were back in correspondence after AY-3 went through, so they wouldn't have to take the switch off power. Naught further intelligible to, from, or, about AY-3 or FI-2 would get to me.
At 0252, the 333 WLs were dark and -- in the regular sequence and intervals -- the 334 ELs at Stop and the 1 WB stagger and 335s dark.
Right around Aubuchon's and at 0303, D-2 garbled something to BODO, and all the way up Da Hill, the 345s were dark.
The yard was a déjà vu of 08-03. It is possible that another string of LPGs, 1 MT centerbeam, and more LPGs coulda come in since then, but the same tag on a tank in the same position did make that seem improbable. The Sameolesameole Ledger entries persisted in being the tie stack between the House and the MART fence and -- at 0337 -- 2 covered hoppers on the W end of the RVJ stub.
At 0319, the 333 WLs were dark and radio silence got broken by hash on the frequency used for San-Vel operations. There would be more but naught clear. Guessing an 11R since Gardner didn't have any additions.
Further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach, all else up to and including the EB staggers for Derby at 0337 dark. At 0332, the FI-1/2 parking spot and the W end of East Side had been MT.
At 0346, a convo on Yard Channel started with someone saying he'd call D-3 and ask what to do. At 0347, AY-Relief answered D-3 and got into a broken-to-me discussion about independent brakes and switches and push-pull. The 3010 was 1 engine, not sure the 2nd. D-3 said he'd give him the number for CSX Power to call them. The E responded that he didn't have a cell phone and ??? was a mile away. D-3 then said that the C should give him a call. The both-sides-now-only-sometimes-breaking convo would continue, the E giving a fuller description as AY-Relief Rail Train. As best as I can reconstruct it, the E said he would shut down the engines and then restart to hopefully reboot the computers, 0401 being when the E advised D-3 that they were all set.
Yard Channel and San-Vel hash would continue. Dunno where the AY-Relief Rail Train was -- mebbe Clinton? -- or whether they'd been the source of the 0218 noise.

0215-0425/08-08-2022 was light on input, the 1st being NECR Road-side hash at 0225.
At 0230, D-3 answered M426, rogered whatever they said, and told them to go ahead. There had been 0147 XNG noise, so guessing for either New Bond or Burncoat. 426 was hash, but it sounded like a combo of train info and power lineup, D-3 asking how many were on line, suggesting an above-normal power count and possible new KittyCats. Whatever next got said also got rogered, D-3 adding "Key Train," a distinction without an MAS difference for the current Worcester Main Line, and yes, the CSXT Deere excavator had still been by the X7.8 XNG.
Radio silence would resume until 0247 with some hash on the channel for San-Vel ops, possibly 16R given the occupants of Gardner yard later.. 0247 was also when the 333 WLs were dark. Radio silence would resume after 0250 and some Dispatcher-side hash.
Stops for the 334 ELs and darkness for the the 1 WB stagger and 335s meant that the tied-down LOED mentioned in atholrail's CSX TO ACQUIRE PAN AM RAILWAYS post of 1914/08-07 had gotten WB.
Up Da Hill, serial public safety encroachments overrode any possible company receptions starting at 0301. The 335 ELs were at Stop and the 2 WL at Medium Clear, a WB marker on 1 by the ambulance company. 4 in the yard had a mix of unplacarded tanks. covered hoppers and loaded rail or structural steel carriers, the Extension with 1 each full-size and shortie covered hoppers. A trip W showed slurries at the Wilkins Road dogleg and totally dark -- even the boards -- power a bit E of CPF 346, the WL at Slow Clear at 0317. The slurries suggested a POED, but dunno if it was the same one mentioned in the aforementioned atholrail post.
EB, there was a broken D-2 shoutout to LA-2 with the 518, deets lost, and radio silence resuming after more brief hash on the San-Vel channel, the same time the 333 WLs were dark.
As a hedzup, there's EB roadwork on Rte. 2 between the the 2 Rte. 140 ramps 1900--0500.
Further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach and all else up to and including the EB staggers for Derby -- at 0356 -- dark.
At 0350, the FI-1/2 parking spot an W end of East Side MT, 2 covered hoppers still on the W end of the RVJ stub in another few.
There would Dispatcher-side hash at 0406 and 0412, but naught else until the end of 0425's end of listening, FI-2? AY-3? Naught heard to, from, or about either.

According to the log for the B&M Live rail cams at Chester and Westfield, M426 had seven units on yesterday 08/07 (log note suggests two were offline). M426 from this morning 08/08 that was logged by Chester at 0021 and Westfield at 0131 had a more typical three units. I don't know how long an M426 typically takes getting through whatever work in Worcester needs done or what power changes are made there, or if either one of these versions of M426 was the same one you heard the dispatcher talking to at 0230 08/08, but between yesterday's 7 units and the overheard convo from the dispatcher this morning could suggest a connection.

0215-0420/08-10-2022 started off at 0216 with brief and unrepeated D-2 garble to NA-2, that being followed immediately by brief Yard-Channel hash. 0222 provided Road-Side hash, followed by extended D-3 hash in a normally clear area.
My own XNG of the X7.8 XNG had shown that the CSX excavator was elsewhere, and at 0231, D-3 breakingly answered AY-3, asked if their 1st stop was *hashed*, and rogered their response, adding more breakage about East Wye.
The 0234 hash sounded like it was from the X7.8 talker, followed by more of the same at 0241. I had heard neither power or XNG noise before I left, so guessing mebbe another X6.0 recrew and the mebbe source of the 0222 exchange. Naught to, from, or about 426, 427, or even another Rail Train would come outta the speaker. Wish something had, johnwhite07.
At 0248, the 333 WLs were dark, and 2 later, a garbling D-3 called out to somebody, Road-side hash, but naught further, to follow. The 334 ELs were at Stop and the the 1 WB stagger and 335s dark.
Up Da Hill, the 345 ELs and WLs were all at Stop. 4 in the yard had unplacarded tanks and covered hoppers, the E end of 2 had covered hoppers and NS boxes, and the earlier occupants of the Extension had moved on, but not the ties between the House and MART fence. There were cars on the #1 as on 08-08, but no marker. Given later sightings, guessing the marker had gotten reassigned.
The remembrance of things past got reinforced by seeing slurries at the Wilkins Road dogleg and clinched by the totally darkended power just E of the 346 WL, showing a Stop at 0316.
The EB trip was quiet until 0324 and more D-3 breakage, this to 16R and asking if they did have the 34??, the response rogered. Roadwork was still ongoing on Rte. 2 EB between the 2 Rte. 140 exits.
At 0331, the 333 WLs were dark, and further E, the EB staggers for 330 at Approach. The 330.8 WBs and GL WLs mighta been dark, but the 330 WLs and ELs were at Stop, as were the FG WLs, a string of powerless and markerless trashes on the #1 from just W of the Credit Union to however far W. Overflow or staged for a WB or EB pickup? Dunno.
At 0347, NewBlue 5930 was sitting dark, solo, and W-facing in the FI-1/2 parking spot, at least 1 covered hopper on the W end of East Side. 4 later, there was brief CSX hash, and 2 after that, the EB staggers for Derby were dark, 2 covered hoppers still on the W end of the RVJ stub.
0401 was the start of a sometimes-broken D-3 side of a convo with AY-3. How were they doing? Then something about a signal and an XNG. Still at CP ??? D-3'd put the signal back in.
Until the 0420 end of listening there would be only spurts of hash, all too brief to even see the source.

CSX, we all know you're spending money, but hopefully there's a budget line for comms betterment.

0215-0430/08-12-2022 was active, starting at the start with D-? garble, D-? and not a C or U cuzza the"Roger that" repetitions.
At 0221, the X7.8 talker came on, still announcing itself as "B&M Detector." The audio got visual when I rolled up to the gates a minute later and watched the stately progression of boxes, LPG cuts, 3 bulkheads of heavy structural steel, and covered hoppers all getting a 0226 no defects. Hadn't heard earlier XNG noise, but noise for X6.0 -- recrew point? -- coulda been masked by the garage door opener. Except for a spurt of Dispatcher-side hash, radio silence would go into effect.
At 0251, the 333 WLs were all at Stop. Not only that, but the E was also bright and loud as NSs 6958 and 1844 plus UP 8924 got 23 K's 102 all-occupied table and well positions W of the 333 WLs at 0254. On the #2, no less. Over at 334, all was red, except for the general sitting on the #1, Red was again the color of the day as dark KCIR 7594 and unIDable trailers sat just E of the 335 WL. 11R? POED? Somebody else? Dunno.
Up Da Hill, the 345 1 WL showed a Clear. The yard was MT, and at 0323, 16R reached out to D-3 who advised that they had 23K coming at them, indicating that they were by 354. 16R wanted to know where their cars would be going. The Fitchburgs would go to OX, the trashes to the Camp, and the freight to the yard, track TBD. Mebbe there'd been earlier instructions, but Gardner went unmentioned. 0330 started a spell of public safety encroachments. It wasn't until 0341 that 23K got the marker W of the Jade lot. 47 minutes for 12+/- miles between CPFs 333 and 345 must mean significant speedo/s between 335 and 345. The 346 talker came on at 0343 and gave at 0347 no defects, total axle count of 299, 60º, and 3226'. The temp was close to my car's readout, but the length seemed significantly off. On the subject of "off," the 345s stayed on for the 5+ minutes before I was EB, long enough for burn-down. Mebbe there was relay trouble or mebbe something short sat on the 2 W of the Timpany Boulevard UGB. Didn't check.
The Sameolesameole Ledger still had the ties between the House and the MART fence. Dunno about the RVJ covered hoppers or any of the other regulars for that matter. My time had elapsed already, so I took a straight shot home. As a hedzup, the nighttime Rte. 2 EB roadwork has expanded E towards Rte. 31. Lanes and shoulders have been cold-planed, so paving will follow.
EB at 0354, there was D-3 garble about 354 and a 241, dunno whether for 16R and/or 23K.
Only sparse garble would follow until 0430 when AY-3 called out to D-3, The 7524 had 22 loads for *garbled," D-3 advised that 400 was in the picture. Did they want a 0630 cab at the Pine Tree? No, today they were good until 0900.
Busy coupla+ hours.
 #1604598  by jaymac

0230-0530/08-15-2022 was occupied. There had been 0217 XNG noise, and at 0231, the X7.8 talker announced he was checking train, so probably another recrew at X6.0. My 0237 arrival at the X7.8 showed cars still going through -- LPGs, a Big G and a Pan Am and other boxes, and covered hoppers among them, with a solo LPG carrying the marker. The talker gave a no defects, and the gates were up at 0238. There would be naught further to, from, or about M426, M427 and AY-3 not coming outta the speaker, either.
Radio silence became the mode until 0259 Road-side hash, followed in 1 by "3-step" and then "Got numbers on the rear." 0302 was when the 333 WLs were dark, the same time as somebody asked somebody else if another he could get the transmission recipient to 335. POED with the 7620 would then call out to D-3. Over at 334, the ELs and 1 WB stagger were at Stops, no marker visible to the immediate W. POED with the 7620 would call out again to D-3,again with no answer getting to me. If the 7620 seems familiar, it was in Bruce Macdonald's http://photos.nerail.org/s/?p=270866. of 08-14 which he IDd as a possible 11R. Over at 335, the ELs and WLs were at Stops, and naught was moving. The power was however far W on the Single and a company pickup was in the lot, so guessing that there had been a maintainer intervention, but dunno again cuz naught further to, from, or about POED would get heard.
The trip WB was quiet, a Slow Clear on the 345 1 EL cuz 22K with dark NSs 6958, 1844, and 9886 was tied down on the #1. Mebbe the covered hopper on the E end of 4 with tanks -- LPG placards visible through some of the 22K gaps -- to the W would be going W with POED.
Radio silence was maintained EB, Rte. 2 EB was down to 1 lane E of the easterly Rte. 140 exit, but dunno how far cuz I took Rte. 2A E and saw that things had not moved at 335. The 334 ELs and 1 WB stagger were still at Stop, and 0344, the 333 WLs were dark, and there was a brief spurt of hash on the San-Vel channel. Further E, the EB staggers for 330 showed a Medium Approach for the 1 and an Approach for the 2, all else up to and including the FG WLs dark.
At 0355, there were hashed car countdowns on Dispatcher side, and 2 later, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT, but the W end of East Side had trashes.
OT -- The Cleghorn Cumby's was $3.99 non-member, the Main Street $0.14 higher.
At 0403, it looked like the RVJ lot was active, so no view of the EB staggers for Derby, but 2 covered hoppers still sat on the W end of the stub.
At 0406, there was some Road-side garble about " a set," 6 later, D-3 answered NS 6964, repeating that the 9532 -- the middle unit -- was low on water. Next, the 6964 would get a time-effective 0413 Form D G303, a Line 13 permitting them to leave MP 313. Dunno whether they were 16R or 11R and/or if the Line 13 was for a water-run to the tower and/or something else.
~0420, "FI-2" came outta some hash, naught else by the end of 0430 listening.
 #1604739  by jaymac

0220-0405/08-17-2022 was a quiet 1. To save suspense, there was naught to, from, or about M426 or M427, including XNG noise. Add AY-3 to the unheard-ofs.
As a possible sign of further CSXT involvement in the Worcester Main, the power indicator on the X7.8 equipment case has gotten a lot brighter.
There would be only a few spurts of hash and those too short to see the sources/s.
At 0249, the 333 WLs were dark, the 334 ELs at Stop and the 1 WB stagger and 335s dark at the usual intervals.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and a few general -- boxes and covered hoppers -- sat between the W end of Chair City Oil and the ambulance company on 1 in the yard, naught visible on the other tracks. At 0305, D-3 answered FI-2, rogered whaetver they said, and confirmed that they wanted the E leg of the wye, rogering the response. Next came a D-3 hedzup that AY-Relief was at the W end. Unmentioned was whom AY-Relief might be relieving. The ties? Still there.
EB at 0315 somebody said "3-step," FI-2 or AY-Relief being the prime suspects. OT -- The 1900-0500 Rte. 2 E lane squeeze was from Princeton Road/Rte.31 however far E.
Also OT -- The Cleghorn Cumby's was now $3.89 non-member, but the Main Street 1 was unchanged from 08-15.
At 0319, the 333 WLs were dark, and further E, the EB staggers for 330 at Approach, all else up to and including the EB staggers for Derby -- at 0337 -- dark.
There were brief spurts of hash either side of seeing the FI-1/2 parking spot MT at 0332. There were again trashes on the W end of East Side. The same as on 08-15? Dunno -- Blue containers tend to look alike from a distance.
The aforementioned 0337 was also when 2 covered hoppers were still on the W end of the RVJ stub and FI-2 and D-3 had a broken-to-me exchange.
At 0342, there was some brief Yard-Channel hash, and at 0345 D-3 answered a sometimes-clear FI-2. The 5973 got permission to reverse direction from where they stood on South Track and proceed W to East Wye. After reading back, FI-2 wanted to get a signal for Arrowhead once the signal cleared at East Wye, D-3 acknowledging.
Except for a brief 0401 spurt of Yard-Channel hash, the rest of the trip was quiet.
 #1604878  by jaymac

0220-0415/08-19-2022 was pretty much a Yard-Channel hashapalooza. To spare my fingers and your eyes, the only IDable source would be 22K, well ahead of 400 for a change.
When I was almost to the Sterling line and at 0232, the X7.8 talker -- still "B&M Detector" -- announced he was checking train. There had been no prior XNG noise heard, so again guessing an X6.0 recrew, mebbe even tie-down. The "no defects" came at 0237, not a monstah especially with a possible start from X6.0.
The 333 WLs were dark at 0252, Stops for the 334 ELs and darkness for the 1 WB stagger and 335s following.
Up Da Hill, the 345 ELs and WLs were at Stop, dark NSs 6951, 1844, and 9886 plus NewBlue 5946 sitting on the 2 and followed by a -- guessing again -- 16R. Why? A long string of LAFX and other Brand X shorties sat up front with other general -- including wrapped centerbeams -- following however far W of the Timpany Boulevard UGB. Guessing also that the scrap gons and any possible others on 4 in the yard mighta been set off by the mebbe-16R. Otherwise, the choreography for a near term WB pickup or EB set-off with the #2 still occupied would be interesting. The Sameolesameole Ledger entries continued to be the tie stack between the House asnd Mart fence and -- at 0350 -- 2 covered hoppers on the W end of the RVJ stub.
Hash continued on the EB trip, and at 0322, the 333 WLs were dark. Further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach. Post refueling stop, all from the 330.8 WBs to the GL WLs was dark. There had been a garbled D-3 call to what sounded like "POAY" at 0339, but naught further got to me.
The FG ELs and WLs were at Stop, naught visible, and the Fi-1/2 parking spot was MT at 0342, blue trashes on the W end of East Side.Mebbe FI-2 was down by OX. Dunno. 8 later, the EB staggers for Derby were dark, and in 1 more, D-3 called out to AY-3, asking if they'd be going to Flanagans and next asking how long they'd be, a roger to follow.
Hash, hash, and more hash filled out the balance of the trip.

0220-0435/08-22-2022 started a bit after the start with D-3 fulfilling Form D G302 to TC 1322 + 10 (yes, ten) at 0224 and then asking him to call clear of WL. 0230 would feature extended D-2 hash, but possibly -- as later receptions would show -- authority for TC 1322 + 10 to enter D-2's territory.
A side trip was made to X6.0 to see if the 0031 and 0041 XNG noises were from points further to the E, but the track was MT. The X7.8 equipment case mighta gotten a brighter power indicator, but the X6.0 case was still waiting for such an upgrade.
In a bit, D-3 would 241 TC 1322 et al. from 2 E to the Single at 312 and then ask for a call when clear of 312 to cancel their Line 4. 0242 would be when D-3 reached out to 22K with NS 6959 and asked if their trash cars would be going to Moores 1st, advising there were issues with a crossover switch at AY, then asking how long they figured they'd be so he could mebbe give foul time to get it fixed. At 0244, foul time was given to C&S ???? on all tracks at AY until called.
0244 was when D-3 answered TC 1322, rogered they were E and clear of 312 and cancelled Form D G303 at 0245.
At 0247, D-2 told M426 that he was sorry about the wait. They'd be going Track 29 (Rigby and not for the Chattanooga Choo-Choo) and that there had been a coupla mechanical issues to take care of, then wishes for a good 1 closing things out. Dunno when that particular 426 got onto what was once PAR/S property, but at least it was on a different District than the 1 that entered just a coupla hours earlier. Mebbe TC 1322 and friends had been slowing things down to the E on 08-21?
At 0344, the 333 WLs were dark, Stops for the 334 ELs and darkness for the 1 WB stagger and 335s following.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, with general on the Extension and 1 however far W, plus more general on 2, 4 being a total mystery, matched by the mystery of dark E-W NSs 6942, 9860, and 9543 on Yard Lead. Mebbe 16R had terminated at Gardner cuzza crew issues, giving an explanation why 22K had trashes.
At 0322, there had been D-2 garble about foul time for TC 1322 + 10. Graniteville? NC? Dunno. 0330 would provide D-3 clarity when he answered M427 and gave CSXT 487 a time effective 0331 Form D G304 for MP X25 to MP X24 with a request to call when clear so he could get the other train up.
Except for P&W Road hash at 0340, the EB trip was quiet. The Rte. 2 E project had closed off the Princeton Road/Rte. 31 ramp, so there was no view of the 333 WLs or EB staggers for 330, but the 330s and GL WLs were dark. The FG WLs were again at Stop, no shunting candidates visible or audible. At 0401, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT and shorties -- from 08-19? -- had replaced the trashes on the W end of East Side. FI-2 was not only unseen, but also unheard. Also unheard was AY-3. Yard channel garble would start at 0404, both 22K and M426 as possibilities.
0407 was when the EB staggers for Derby were dark and 2 covered hoppers sat on the W end of the RVJ stub. 3 later, M426 would call out M427 repeating twice more at 1-minute intervals. The 3rd call was followed by hash, that followed by 426 saying they'd be going to Channel 2. Also at 0412 -- 1 busy minute -- D-3 answered 22K and rogered whatever they said.
The next few featured a few hash spurts, and at 0424, D-3 reached out to 427 to advise that 426 was trying to get ahold of them on Yard Channel, next saying "You did? Roger that."
At 0427, there was more probable-D-2 garble, "Track" and "Foreman" being the sole clarities. Foul time released?
Only rare hash would follow until 0435.

0220-0435/08-24-2022started off slow, D-3 calling out to 16R once only at 0227. At 0232, there was brief Road-side hash, followed in 5 by first Road-side and then Dispatcher-side hash. Given later receptions this coulda been from an M426 hand-over.
At 0243, D-3 called out again to 16R and then said he was wondering how they coming along, rogering the response.
At 0252, the 333 WLs were dark, and 2 later there was a broken probably-D-2 241. The 334 ELs were at Stop and the 1 WB dark, but in a break with pattern, the 335s were all at Stop, faint WB power noise to the W.
At 0302, there was Road-side hash, followed at 0304 by 16R answering D-3, both sides garbling. Among the topics were a tiedown, out of the way, and AY-3.
D-3 called out to M426 at 0307, asking if they were on the move and rogering the response, Naught further would be heard to, from, or, about 426 and naught at all to, from, or about 427.
0309 was when the NECR Dispatcher contributed to the garble.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark. The yard had from the W end of the MART garage high-side scrap gons, a mix of corrosive and unplacarded tanks, and then covered hoppers W on 1 down to the Pratt yard, covered hoppers and whatever else on 2. The E end of 4 had E-W dark NSs 6942, 9860, and 9543, the same units as on 08-22, but on a different track. By 0319, the 345s had come on, a Restricting for the 1 EL. The E eventually got louder, NSs 6983, 9735, and 9601 coming to a stop by the platform at at 0337, 11R next calling out to D-3 to confirm the numbers of the engines they were to pick up, D-3 gave the same numbers I'd written down, and 11R saying that they were on the E end. Given the amount of walking and winding the C would have to do even before a brake test, I got EB. There were unplacarded tanks by the power and trashes on the the Pearson Boulevard UGB. Oh yeah, ties still sat between the House and MART fence.
The EB trip started off quiet, and the 333 WLs were dark at 0348, and further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach and the 330.8 WBs dark.
At 0358, D-3 called out to the 2624, advising they were to tie down at Derby and cab to Ayer. There was industry by Derby, and they couldn't park by the XNG because it would break the XNG. In another 12, the EB staggers for Derby would be dark, so if they were already that far E, it was with a short train. 2624 mighta meant the NS SD70, so a geo mebbe? Yes, 2 covered hoppers were still on the W end of the RVJ stub.
The 330s and GL WLs were dark, but the FG WLs again at Stop with no visible shunters. At 0404, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT, and shorties sat on the W end of East Side.
There was rare hash, but at 0421, there was a both-sides of Channel 1 garble exchange about trash. 1 later, D-3 answered AY-3, next saying it OK for them to follow 16R out. 0431 was when D-3 241d 16R with the NS 6950 2 E from CPF-AY and back to their train. Given that there'd be walking and unwinding and walking back, 16R might be holding for 400's 0453 advertised. Whether AY-3 mighta gotten lights to get ahead of 400 dunno, but there were no receptions to, from, or, about anybody be the end of the 0435 end of listening.

0220-0500/08-26-2022 coulda been an even longer trip, as will be seen.
Things were quiet until 0241 when D-3 answered M426, rogering whatever they next said. There had been 0037 and 0048 XNG noise of the proper interval and increase in volume to suggest that X6.0 and X7.8 had been getting the noise, so mebbe 426 had arrived at MP X25. Naught further to from, or about M426 would come ourtta the speaker, naught at all about M427.
At 0252, the 333 WLs were dark, Stops for the 334 ELs and darkness for the 1 WB stagger and 335s to follow.
There had been a bit of Road-side hash at 0254, and at 0300, AY-3 called out to D-3, saying they were looking to reverse to West Main and D-3 giving the 7622 permission to reverse direction from where they stood and proceed W on 1 to CPF AY.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were at Stop, trashes on the tail of what would be IDd later as 16R getting onto the Single at a crawl at 0313. 2 in the yard had from the E FP a tented centerbeam, tank, covered hoppers, a company gon, and a scrap gon up to the W end of Chair City Oil. Dunno if the EB had just set off. The Sameolesameole Ledger entry for Gardner continued to be the ties between the House and MART fence, but there would no drive-by for the RVJ stub.
Given the EB's lack of speed, a trip to the Spuria yard was made. Because of vegetation growth, the 340 MP wasn't visible, but the stock of signal precast bases, masts, arms and equipment cases hadn't yet been totally obscured. At 0333, a breaking D-3 answered FI-2, his next few statements in hash mode. This would be repeated at 0337, the EB with NSs 6957, 9868, and 9801 plus KCIR 5948 getting E at 0344 and strongly suggesting a 10 MPH MAS was in effect at least as far E as 340. There were 66 general plus 15 all-double-high occupied well positions. The general included shorties (more LAFXs among them), full-size covered hoppers, LPGs, boxes , and multiples of USG tented sheetrock centerbeams.
OT hedzup -- a message board advised of otherwise unspecified lane closures for the Rte. 2 E project between Exits 90 and just E of 95. Guessing it's for paving and asphalt plants don't wanna open at night without extra cost..
At 0359, the 333 WLs showed a Medium Clear for 1, and there was noise to the W. 0407 was when D-3 said something to9 AY-3 about a signal, and 0411 was when the EB was E of the WL.
I got myself EB, but there was an voice exchange just E plus WB headlights E of the ELs, so it was back to the WLs. At 0415, 400's E called out a ?? for the 334 WL on 2. The E got bright and loud, KCIRs 7605 and ???? getting 63 W at 0422. A POED is a possibility, given the MT centerbeams and slurries among the rest that included 1 each Pan AM and Big G boxes. The Controlled Siding WL had gone to Medium Clear, and 400 with 5 flats, 1 bi, and the 1131 was out on the advertised. Dag! Big-time railroading at the 333 just like it used to be!
Because 400 would be leapfrogging the EB, I leapfrogged straight home. On the way and at 0433, D-3 garbled something to 16R about trashes at OX mebbe not yet moved. 10 later, D-3 started a convo with the Foreman of TC T 1030, leading to time-effective 0445 Form D G302 for CPF WL W on 1 to CPF 333 with a Line 13 for the Stop signals to pass, adding a request to call clear of Camp and 330.
The last noise to exit the speaker was CSXT hash at 0458.

0220-0415 /08-29-2022 was less active than 08-26, starting at the start with D-3 advising M426 that OZ20 would be recrewing them and to keep it going straight to Lowell. After a slight pause, D-3 would advise M426 that there'd be a new crew at New Bond, so stop at New Bond. Guessing Worcester Main track work had again delayed a 426, so there were again 2 426s that were D-3 concerns. Never heard a Form D for the 2nd 426, but there will be more later.
0223 CSX hash, 0245 AMTK hash, and 0250 P&W Road hash would be the next sounds.
0254 was when the 333 WLs were dark and also when D-3 answered FI-2 -- more about whom later -- first rogering and then OKing them on signal indication.
No surprise that the 334 ELs were at Stop and the the 1 WB stagger and 335s dark. At 0300, there were 2 separate garbled D-3 reach-outs to M427 (seven) on Channel 1, naught further IDable to, from, or about those folks. Boston East would contribute more hash at 0304.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and D-3 would offer some more hash at a normally-clear spot at 0308. 2 later a clearer D-3 would ask FI-2 if they were looking for a switch and signal. 2 in the yard had from the E FP a pair of tented centerbeams, a tank, a few covered hoppers, 1 each company and scrap gons, and LPGs however far W. The gaps showed covered hoppers -- at least 1 a shortie -- on 4. Stacked ties were still there.
EB, there was Dispatcher-side hash involving "wye" and "recrew," and at 0320, the same voice would garble something to M426 (six). Mebbe a new-to-D-3 dispatcher was doing some apprenticeship time. This could also have been 426's Form D getting eaten by Mount Wachusett.
At 0325, the 333 WLs were dark, and further E, the EB staggers for 330 at Approach.
OT Cumby's alert -- Cleghorn was $3.65 nonmember and Main Street $3.95 " Darkness was in effect for all from the 330.8 WBs up to and including the FG WLs.
At 0340, a breaking D-3 -- the regular voice -- answered somebody, naught further getting to me, and 1 later, KCIR 59?? was hauling DS trashes W towards the FG ELs. If there was anything on the W end of East Side, the trashes blocked the view. There would be FI-2 car countdowns followed by "Back it up for a hitch."
At 0345, there was more Dispatcher-side hash, possibly D-2 since it sounded like "Meadowcroft" got spoken. 2 later, the EB staggers for Derby were dark, and 2 covered hoppers were on the W end of the RVJ stub.
There would be a spurts of unIDable hash, and at 0356, the X7.8 talker announced he was checking train. 4 later came the no defects, so not a heroically long train unless the MAS has been increased.
The next 900 seconds were profoundly quiet.

0220-0440/08-31-2022 started off at 0221 with Dispatcher-side hash that mebbe was D-3's, 7 later, the hash was from CSX, and 8 after that, there was a spell of Yard-Channel hash.
0253 was when the 333 WLs were at Stop, naught immediately visible or audible E or W and also when D-3 called out to 16R, no immediate developments coming outta the speaker. Over at 334 the ELs were at Stop, but in a rare-for-me display, the 1 WB stagger was G/G, prompting me to get to the 335s, where the 1 WL was also at Clear. At 0301 and before the E got bright and loud, D-3 answered Fi-2, no immediate further developments, so mebbe a signal got put in.
The E did get bright and loud, and NSs 6958, 1837, and 9155 plus KCIRs 7609 and 7622 got 38 all-occupied DS trash positions, 35 general -- primarily unplacarded tanks and MT centerbeams -- plus 6 racks W of the ELs at 0306. Guessed an 11R, later to be confirmed.
Up Da Hill, the 345s were dark, and at 0315, a series of public-safety encroachments occupied the airwaves. The Extension and 1 had covered hoppers and a coupla unplacarded tanks however far W, and 2 had cars that included MT centerbeams. Dunno about 4. Yes, the tie-stack was still there. By 0321, the 345s had come on with an Approach for the Single EL, and at 0323, D-3 advised 11R the recrew would be by the Chinese restaurant -- the Jade for us mere mortals -- while also providing the purpose -- transportation -- for the lit SUV in the lower lot. 0326 was when D-3 answered M427, asking to confirm that there were no cars on Track 11, next telling them to forget the pickup and head straight to Worcester, but a fuel reading would be needed. There will be more about 427, but naught to, from or about 426. At 0327, 11R called out the Approach on the Single EL, and 3 later came to a stop across from the transportation, a 24-minute 335-345 transit, showing that there were no restrictions in effect.
EB, there were more public-safety encroachments and -- at 0314 -- AMTK hash. At 0340, there was garble with a clear "16R," followed by Dispatcher-side hash.
At 0342, the 333 WLs were dark, and 4 later, 16R reached out to D-3, but ZombieZone rules now went into effect. Further E, the EB staggers for 330 were at Approach. Post-refueling stop and at 0352, FI-2 reached out to D-3, the ZombieZone reasserting itself. The 330.8 WBs were dark, and at 0355, a nearby FI-2 again reached out to D-3, advising they were ready to go to Arrowhead, D-3 saying they'd be waiting for 16R to finish their work.
The 330s and GL WLs were dark, but the FG WLs at Stop, DS trashed sitting just W of the Credit Union. 0357 was when a breaking M427 called out to D-3, the possible results being a garbled Form D G301, deets eaten.
At 0405, the FI-1/2 parking spot was MT, but more DS trashes --possibly C&D -- were on the W end of East Side. 2 later, a breaking D-3 confirmed with AY-3 that they were lined and locked normal, and 5 after that, the EB staggers for Derby were dark and 2 covered hoppers were on the W end of the RVJ stub.
At 0429, a breaking D-3 241d AY-3, deets again lost. 4 later, 16R car countdowns started coming outta the speaker
0436 was the start of a both-sides clear D-3/427 convo. There was an OOS XNG. Did 427 want their original Form D cancelled or a separate 1 issued with just the Line 12? Form D G302 to CSXT 8840 with a Line 12 for South Meadow Street, MP X15.40, was made effective at 0440, my end of listening.
