Also keep in mind that the newest addition to the PAR OCS is an ex-CSX car, which implies that CSX was recently reducing the size of its own OCS fleet.

Maybe CSX will sell the PAR OCS equipment. We already know that they're planning to sell a significant portion of the PAR freight locomotive fleet (assuming PAR doesn't sell it themselves first, as seems to be happening with some of the 600s and 3400s)...

Does anyone have information regarding the possible movement of PAR 1 Loco to Worcester as part of a display?

I was told this would occur on Thursday, March 31.

My apology's in advance if there is no truth to this.

the ocs is supposed to be on display at worcester tomorrow for perusal by the New England Railroad Club. It's part of a Pan Am double header with Dave Fink Jr. being interviewed by RA.

Thanks guys, it makes sense now. I attended some of those NERR club meetings when I worked at MBCR. Retired 10 years ago! My buddy and I are going to try and catch it in the AM in Framingham. Then work our way to Worcester.

I got to see inside it once, at the grand opening of the Freeport Amtrak platform, before they added the dome. It truly is beautiful inside.

Being towed I assume? Love to see them leading but that's a railfan fantasy I would think

PAR 1 & 2 arrived Barbers on M427 at 0805 Monday 6/20/22 behind the 3 CSX AC44CW road units. The 4 OCS cars which had been on M427’s marker arriving Ayer were dropped at Ayer.

A moment of silence is in order I suppose. Hopefully it's going to either a museum or a smaller railroad that would put it back in service as their OCS.
