CP stocked up the last few weeks… track 28 at McAdam and Harvey siding were all full of wells which NBSR moved east this week. Plus, wells come in on CN with the inbound CMA traffic (no outbound)

62 mostly empty well cars on the eastbound today at Greenville, plus 62 manifest cars.
Interesting, the Barcelona Express container ship which just visited Saint John is now headed to Montreal.

Should have been 66 mixed freight followed by 64 wells on 142, only the first one was loaded.

Glasgow Express into the Bay of Fundy as of Early Thursday morning.

Q: at some point when this traffic stabilizes, will the eastbound wells on 142 be filled more regularly with outbound steamship line containers? Or will there continue to be an imbalance with mostly empty wells heading east to be loaded with westbound containers? Thanks.

45 more loaded wells west last night on 251, in addition to 66 mixed freight. A poster elsewhere noted a CP container being unloaded in Newport, apparently Poulin isn't taking hoppers there anymore? Not much else for traffic down that way, save a few bridge cars here and there.

CP has apparently taken traffic from CN, as they're now moving wallboard to CertainTeed in McAdam to distribute.

It will be interesting to see what happens with that Wallboard business after the CSX takeover of Pan Am as I believe most of that traffic originates on their lines, which would make it a single-line local CSX move.

Where does the Wall board originate?

Can't say for sure, as Certainteed has WB plants all over the country. In the East they have plants in TN, KY, WV, FL and NC to name a few.

Cam was down for a bit in Greenville, so no observations the last couple days, Glasgow Express has also headed for Montreal, so that's probably a regular call for these ships as well.

Container counts have been pretty low, rather odd with ships calling weekly now. Haven't seen more than a dozen loaded wells in the past 4 or 5 days.

Livorno Express has already departed, doesn't look like they spent even a half day in SJ.
