Owing to the outdated keystone logo, I'd say it was fantasy, but that's merely a guess.

I concur with Mr. Glueck. Never saw a keystone used in Dashing Dan days. The Railroad was newly rid of the PRR and wanted no part of its identity.

Identifying with the Muts? :-)

Of course, the dashing part - trying to get up and over to catch connections.

Steve: This rendering of "Mr. Met" along with the keystone LIRR logo and mention of
"The Route of the Dashing Commuter" is a recent-years creation.
The colors and graphics are quite good...Is this a drink coaster?

The New York Mets mascot "Mr. Met" was created back in the 1960s and used until the mid-late 1970s.
In the late 90s/early 2000s he was "revived" - and around ten years ago some uniform variations used
him as a shoulder patch and a cap logo. Mr. Met does promotional work and attends Mets games at Citi Field.

The LIRR "Keystone" logo has been used on some painted locomotives and work equipment in recent years.
Was this something done on a unofficial basis? MACTRAXX
