The past few times I've been by Oak Island, there have been long cuts of international double stacks in the yard. These seem to be the ones loaded in Massachusetts, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how/why they're ending up yarded in Oak Island vs on some through train. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks in advance!

These cars are being loaded in Oak Island. Arrowhead purchased the old D&H building for this service. Traffic uses the NS.

Interesting.
CR, where exactly is that old D&H building? Is it the blue-green one just east of the Route 1 overpass?

Also, I googled Arrowhead. If this is the right Arrowhead, they run a giant landfill in Alabama (with 4 miles of sidings), and seem to have some kind of partnership with NS: https://arrowheadenvironmentalpartners. ... l-service/

What did D&H use it for?
