Earlier today (9/23/21), someone spotted the CSX Safety Train stored on the Hicksville Team Track. Does anyone know as to why this train is here, and where it will be going?

Also, considering that thus is at least the second time the CSX Safety Train has been on Long Island, this will be the official thread for future sightings of this train, which I believe is used for NYAR training.

CSX Safety Train consist 1/28/2017

The CSX Safety Train is used to train First Responders on how to handle any type of problem with Haz-Mat loads in boxcars and tank cars. The boxcar is used as a classroom, the tank cars are examples of what is "in service" for chemicals, pressurized gasses, and oil and gasoline products. The CSX Safety Train has its own crew of instructors, with prearranged visits to train or provide refresher courses as earlier training was done years ago by CSX/NYA.
