So far nothing has come to my attention that the UP has had to close the former WP Beckwurth Pass, but as this fire with same name remains uncontrolled, it is likely a disruption will occur.
Considering the former SP Shasta Route is closed account fire damage to a bridge and is not estimated to reopen until Sep 1, I would think both the Central Pacific and WP would be "overflowing" with rerouted traffic. Now I would think to lose the WP to this fire will make for "problems".
