Took the old man on the Reading Northern's weekend RDC trip from Reading to Jim Thorpe for father's day. Highly recommended by the way. I was expecting to a see a rinky dink short line or tourist operation. I saw a regional built to almost class 1 standards that is throwing some money around.

What are they shipping and for whom? They are obviously making some money. Coal isn't exactly a booming or growth market these days, esp. anthracite. Almost lifelong Pennsylvania resident and Reading to NEPA is rust belt in my mind.

CEO Andy Mueller Jr knows what he's doing.
While coal (mainly for steel production) is still a large amount of what they haul, they've diversified what they haul.
