One of the early 1950's fan trips pulled by the most beautiful ten-wheelers ever constructed. LIRR 50 pulled the absolute final steam run on the LIRR and was the final locomotive of her class ever constructed. She was the final steam loco built for the LIRR, and should have been preserved. Instead, she was consigned to Luria Brothers of Modena, Pennsylvania. Does her keystone plate survive today?
