I saw some CSX open hoppers in this video. What material and to what customer are these used for ??

HRRC does lousy trackwork, that makes PAR'S patchwork look "good" :P

I remember when the HRRC had 7-8 engines, Its now down to 4. The 3602 from what I have understood, may be done for. Its to bad those 2 HH 38 are "parts donors"

Nothing really radical has changed in their fleet. The 9935 was usually up on the BSRM even when it was in service, and 7324 and 1802 were sold. The 35's usually cycle in and out of the shop, although I think 3600 is on shop trucks awaiting overhauled trucks. Don't forget their shop is only a two-engine house with only a few guys manning it, so shop cycles are going to take a bit.

I forgot to add that 3602 broke a crankshaft. That’s probably why it won’t be running any more.

So, I just read on face book, that all but one GP-35 the 3604 is the only running engine this railroad has active........... Oh well.

gp35's in any kind of fashion are not known to damage crankshafts, so question is what do those john deere tractor mechanics do wrong ???

Latest update, 3602, appears to be done for as well as the 22, and now the 3600 is supposedly retired. CSX is loaning a GP38-2 2651 to the housy.

I think it is really sad to be purchasing useful engines such as those 2 GP38s and use them as parts donors. 3603 IMO should be the parts donor. Hopefully ownership decides 2 activate at least one of them. if they can get 22 and 3604 repaired, then they can do the same for those 38s railroads have reactivated parts donors before. Wouldn’t it be nice seeing them in HRRC colors? Whatever.
