Metro is currently evaluating two requests to rename stations. From Fairfax, there is the request to drop 'corner' and rename the station just Tysons stations to coordinate with an overall ongoing re-branding of the area. Meanwhile, Prince George’s County and the City of Hyattsville are asking Metro to rename Prince George’s Plaza station to “Hyattsville Crossing.” Article via GGW https://ggwash.org/view/79436/corners-a ... me-changes

Petition to change Corner to Maze

I don’t mind Tysons as a name change - it’s a new station and still the same meaning - but I want the Business Improvement District or the malls to pay for the updated signage.

PG Plaza has been PG Plaza since the beginning of service, and Metro needs to take that into account for at least a ten-year transition period. Call it Prince George Plaza/Hyattsville Crossing if you must.

Hope it gets rejected
Oh, I don't know -- I think Southeast on Metro North is right up there as a contender. I mean I know why the name was changed, but I still think it was a dumb idea.

I dont know, but for some reason, over the years since iut opened in 1976, Metro has been trenaming stations, like 1000 times already!

In fact, maybe they should make the Guiness Book of World Records for the most station renamings in a Rapid transit system SMH
