If anyone is interested, there's a house for sale in Hampton; the backyard features about 300 feet of extremely overgrown but I believe intact trackage. But, you'd have to be crazy, deaf or just stupid to buy it. U.S. rte 1 is in the front yard, the side yard is bordered by NH 101, and beyond the track in the back yard is an off ramp from Rte 101 to Rte 1 south. Oh, and you can't turn left coming out of the driveway, because Rte 1 is one way in this location.

This was carved into a granite block supporting the trestle in Jonathan603's picture on the previous page. Probably carved there by a construction worker when the line was double-tracked in 1899/1900.

I'm guessing this place. https://www.google.com/maps/@42.9324172 ... a=!3m1!1e3

Looks like track is missing north of there, but is intact south of Drakeside Road going along the property.

Thanks for uploading the picture. That's great. The ones I took with the washout were at 42.917376, -70.849043. Just past the first trestle as I walked North from Depot Road parking. I encourage anyone who has not walked down there to take a wander... it's pretty nice place to explore. Just be careful of poison ivy and be sure to go at low tide or as the tide is going out. Also watch out for cyclists :-)

I missed that! Thanks!
