LV & Rochester Jct Tower

When was the tower torn down? 1957? Thanks.

No luck with a firm date. Last Rochester - Rochester Junction passenger train was Sept 6, 1950 I'm told, it was out of service by the ETT of 4-27-52. The question would be how long after it was deactivated did they keep it up? In those days railroads sometimes were not as fast to remove structures but no exact info on this one.

Drawings for it were in Model Railroader fairly recently, maybe that article tells when it was torn down.

No luck. The article says when "...visited the area in 1990, the tower was already gone." and "plans based on ARHS plans".
