The cabs of these old units have quite a bit of rust - here's a photo of 1128 from 3 years ago.

should also worry about the brake pad dust, diesel fumes, vast amount of energy emitted from the Aux. Gen behind the engineer seat, and the 25K volt catenary over the cab and yard......comes with the job

Being constantly exposed to strong magnetic fields can cause cancer I believe.

If they want to keep running these things they should squirt sealant into all the holes. Not rocket science. Part of implementing a safety culture which apparently is a problem...
