I just got news today that Metra will have a new parking garage at Joliet.
More information: The new parking garage will be built just a bit West of Joliet Union Station, not far at all from the station. I haven't gotten any information as to when it will be built. As soon as I do, I will post the info. I feel that this will help traffic a lot, since traffic at Joliet can get pretty heavy during rush hour, especially in downtown. The parking lot today was packed due to Venetian Night. There was also a lot of Metra Security at the station. I tried to keep the camera away to be on the safe side.
