No. Three up front. Crew said it was "only 10-1/2 tons."

Crew changed at Barbers.

The 11-29-2019 receptions were garbled, but there was a D-2 Single-to-Single 241 for somewhere to the LCT at 0414, followed by G202 -- time effective 0438 -- for hashed MPs on the Northern and then yarding instructions -- 42 to the River Track, the rest lost.

Curious of the routing of the unit train. Did it go North to Buffalo or East thru Cumberland? I lived in WPA before moving to Maine and was familiar with the line coming out of Newell.

Routing was west to Willard OH, and then east on the mainline. Seems like all CSX from the mine to Ayer.

Apparently Bow is having a busy year?

No. In winter, more natural gas is diverted to heating use than generating electricity so the Bow plant will supplement electric demands during wintertime. apparently they didn't think the remaining Eversource pile was adequate if/when it gets really cold. The usual suspects are looking at it as a revival of King Coal but it really isn't.

"NO COAL, NO GAS" It appears these idiots are fine if people die in the cold months.

Fair use from the e-version of the 12-09 Lowell Sun which I couldn't link:

AYER — Environmental activists brandishing signs protesting the use of gas and coal were arrested after they blocked the path of an oncoming freight train during the early morning hours Sunday, authorities say.
...According to police, 12 protesters were taken into custody and charged with trespassing on railroad property. They will be arraigned in Ayer District Court on Monday.
Whether the Ayer group operated independently or in coordination with the group in Hooksett cited by Dick H dunno. MSP and PDs Groton, Harvard, Littleton, and Shirley were contacted for assistance.

Edited to fix bad formatting.

Good. Hope they enjoyed the new police station and jail we built in West Boylston.
