This is the Metra unit I saw in the Frontier Yard the other day. Just had the chance to post the pic. The CN unit (8810-freshly painted) is on another track. I haven't been back to see if its still here.

Really starting to wonder how the rebuilt F40PH-3, F40PHM-3, and new to Metra F59PHs are faring these days.

On Tuesday afternoon, F40PHM-3 186 broke down in Downers Grove and had to be annulled. A photo on social media showed a crew member off the train inspecting the locomotive.

204 moved to the BNSF from The Rock, wonder what went in it's place?

204 moved back in April. Nothing is known to have gone to RI in its place. 206 and 208 also both went to BNSF/SWS shortly after rebuild.

Best guess is with the Chicago Union Station district lines receiving the old Amtrak F59PHIs some of the MP36s have been going over to the rock. Wouldn’t be surprised if the remainder of the Winnebagos assigned to the rock ultimately end up on BNSF.

There's a rumor floating about that ATS is being disabled on the UP-N and UP-NW as of today, with PTC being the primary and block signals the fallback.

If so, that will reduce some of the complexity/limits for moving locomotives and cab cars in/out of the UP operated lines.

Nice to see a heritage scheme on something other than an MP36. It should look good coupled next to the stainless coaches.

211 is now in revenue service. It was leading another F40PHM-3 (could not tell if it was 197) on train 1277 (5:46p CUS departure, express to Naperville and Route 59). Had no problem doing track speed.

F59PHs 95 and 96 are sitting at Western Avenue with some F59PHIs. They look freshly painted.

A couple of those F59H's should be running on the UP lines in near future. Most likely N and NW line till they install the ATC to the units.

F40PHM-3 187 “City of Wood Dale” is the latest Winnebago to be rebuilt and is back in service.

The only known Winnebago units that are either being rebuilt now or have not been rebuilt yet are 190, 195, 198, 199, 212, 213, 214.
