Due to track work on the eastbound PATH line in Harrison around midday today (7-28), westbound trains were diverted to the eastbound tracks. What was more interesting was that as we approached the PATH facility near Hudson, we were diverted into the maintenance facility, including passing through the concrete pillbox-structure that sits in the yard (which I assume is used as cover to perform some maintenance task). Never had the pleasure of such scenic detour before.

Yep. Years back, our NWK train was diverted to the eastbound tracks (for trackwork? I don't recall) and went through the same trackage. Always a good experience.
