Commuters bound for Manhattan will now find more parking spaces and a better-lit, more attractive train station as they board Metro-North Railroad trains in Pelham.
The $4.8 million project took a year and a half to complete, with stone pavers added on some of the stairs, and old-fashioned-style lighting designed to illuminate the station without sending light into surrounding yards and homes. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the station Friday.
