I would love to know the tonnage, and if there were helpers..if not on a train that size that's a massive drawbar strain and a lot of force pulling upfront with three ac units. Those empty cars had no chance if there were loads behind them.

Typical 'stringline' derailment - light, long empties and excessive trailing tonnage.

They've done it again; empty centerbeams on the head pin on the ground.

Must have happened after it passed the 7048. They were on the rails at that point.

So what happened? Train crew not inspect the consist? Idiots in the yard who built it up?

The train was 222 cars. Almost all empties. They also didn't have a helper or DPU.

Someone basically called the derailment on a Facebook group. When the stats were posted for the train someone commented "That'll have some trouble on the East Slope".
