On the ride home tonight, it looked like Wayne Electric had an AEM-7 coupled to one of the gel trains on the west side of the shop building.

Maybe they will hang around a little longer in work train service?

Last I heard, both 2306 and 2307 were being used in gel train service.

I did see a Newark-Philly express with an AEM7 about 2 weeks ago. I think it was the 2303 pushing.

2303 has been in the dead line since the late Summer. The last one to run on the AM Newark was the 2306 in the timeframe you mention. It went up, then got cut at Wayne Electric to go into Gel service. Replaced by 907.

I'm guessing that this is to backfill for locos in for PTC installation?

Returning to Frazer tonight. Special move. After midnight?

That's the rumor.

That would make sense since the NJT PTC crisis seems to be over. Did any one of them turn a mile in NJT service, revenue or otherwise?

Saw at least 2 at Overbrook Maintenance Facility yesterday and the paint really seems worn off now.

2301, 2304, & 2307 at Wayne
The rest at Overbrook.

Apologies if this is a bit late, but someone has to start a gofundme for these engines now. The last known Silverliner III is in the list to be scrapped, and I believe is only valued at $3,000!

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The end appears to be finally near for Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s fleet of AEM-7 electrics, according to a procurement notice that puts the locomotives up for bid.

...

The sale of the electrics – which also includes the ALP-44 – calls for the “scrapping and full removal” with the work to be done at the carrier’s Frazer, Pa. shop. Also included is a Silverliner III car that has remained on the property since those electric MU’s were retired a decade ago.

“Dismantling may occur on-site prior to removal,” the bid states. “Removal of the rolling stock will be the responsibility of the company awarded the offering and included in their purchase offer.”

It's sad to see them go but I hope Silverliner III gets sent to a museum along with ALP-44 since NJT junked theirs but can you send a link to the gofundme for these?
